The purpose of this study is to investigate learning orientation between public sector schools and private schools of Pakistan. This study is analyzed by a tool developed by Dimensions of Learning Organization Questionnaire (DLOQ). Data is being collected through questionnaires. All seven dimensions (continues learning, dialogue inquiry, team learning, embedded system, empowerment, system connection and leadership) are being analyzed, which includes forty-three variables, individually and then collectively too. Total means are used in order to compare both sectors of education. On the basis of total mean scores, both sectors are being analyzed which shows that there is a significant difference between public and private sector schools as far as learning orientation is concerned. Empowerment variable is a variable that needs improvement in public sector schools to improve the learning orientation in this sector.

The main purpose of this paper is to evaluate the hotels’ service quality through customer satisfaction. Theory tells us that if the customers are satisfied then the hotels are providing higher service quality. And also check that which dimensions of SERVPREF is need to be focused more in Pakistan. For this purpose SERVPERF tool was adopted and administrative to customers who stayed in the hotels of Faisalabad, Pakistan. The results indicates that in Pakistan among the five dimensions of SERFPERF the dimension tangible and empathy needed to be focused more.

The research explores the impact factors of willingness of consumer toward counterfeit products. The considered variables status consumption, novelty seeking, perceived risk and integrity. The total sample size of this research is 150 but 123 responded and data was collected effectively by using questionnaire on counterfeit product. Attitude of consumers toward counterfeit products possess the positive relationship toward willingness of consumer to purchase counterfeit product but the perceived risk possess the negative relationship with consumer`s attitude. The status consumption and integrity also possess the negative relationship with the attitude toward counterfeit product. Novelty seeking holds the positive relationship with attitude.

The paper inspects the relationship between the plans, source, make, and delivery areas of the supply chain management with performance. The results of the paper are united by sample of 55 respondents of various companies in various industries. The results propose the significant existence of relationship among the plan and make with supply chain performance. The relationship of source and delivery with performance cannot be supported by data. The results indicate an improved understanding for those areas in which right decisions can bring better performance in the supply chain.

In the field of management during the last three decades the concept of competitive advantage has remained the focal point of the firms. Firms always remained inquisitive to attain and sustain the competitive advantage. The resource based view (RBV) has made a great contribution towards attaining and sustaining the competitive advantage. Researchers agree that the firms having rare, valuable, inimitable, and non-substitutable resources always triumph the competitive advantage. RBV has its due implications in the fields of marketing, HRM, corporate governance, international business, and entrepreneurship.

The purpose of writing this paper is to find out the concrete learning process and their practices in the industrial and banking sector of Pakistan. This paper also investigates that which extent of industrial and banking sector. The factor experiment with different ways, collection of information regarding competitor, analysis by different ways, giving education and training and share information was discussed by Garvin in his research paper related to second building block. We use the tool given by Garvin as an instrument in our study. By comparing means and weight age means of both of these factors we concluded that level of both of these sectors are different. But banking sector is good in concrete learning practices as compared to the industrial sector. For better results both sectors need to improve in this building block.

The purpose of this study is to compare the organizational learning between two service sectors organizations. To fulfill this objective, we took one university from provincial sector and other from federal sector. We analyzed the impact of learning at individual level, group or team level and organizational level and effects of the dimensions of the learning organization on both provincial sector and federal sector organizations. A learning organization is said to be an organization that has the capacity to create new knowledge, attain and transform knowledge and modify its behavior to reflect new insights. Learning organization is not a new concept; (Senge 1993) presented the idea of learning organization in his book “The Fifth discipline”. Various tests are applied to measure organizational learning and it is found that both federal sector university and provincial sector university are quite similar on nine dimensions of the learning organizations. We took only one university from each sector. As every study has some limitations, further research can be conducted on various universities in each sector by applying other measures of analysis.

The purpose of this study is to investigate learning orientated organizations in textile sector of Pakistan. This study based on Garvin’s three building blocks. Data is collected through questionnaire. All three building blocks have been considered that include fifty eight variables. Individual mean scores along with cumulative mean scores are used to analyze organizations. Result show that openness to new idea, a variable from first building block, needs improvement.

Purpose of this paper is to highlight the major contributions in the process of human enlightening by looking into the roots of philosophy from Greeks through the modern western philosophers. From the outset this paper becomes a brief note on human effort of broadening and strengthening his understandings about physical and metaphysical aspects of life. Starting from ‘Greeks awakening’ and going through different religious contributions, this paper, then, focuses on the enlightenment movement of the West. Moreover, in the end, it gives a glimpse of counter enlightenment― a movement against the essence of enlightenment.

Objective of this study was to determine level of learning in two sectors, public and private, banks of Pakistan after a comparison and also to analyze the relationship among major building blocks of David Garvin, that include (1) supportive learning environment, (2) concrete learning process and practices and (3) leadership that reinforce learning. A questionnaire developed by Garvin was used for collecting information from 72 bank’s respondents. Statistical techniques, which included Frequency statistic, Arithmetic mean, Reliability statistic and Correlation analysis, were applied on data by using SPSS. Study analysis and results indicate that there is crucial requirement of learning improvement in both sector banks of Pakistan. There was not a significant difference between the scores of both sectors but somehow the level of learning in private sector banks is greater as compare to public sector. Further, findings of the study indicate that correlation among all three building blocks of Garvin was positive and all are significant at 0.01

This study investigates different factors and the impact of these factors on adoption of green marketing in Pakistan. Motivational factors which are legislation, competitiveness, and ethical reasoning. Company features in which company size, internationalization, position in value chain, managerial attitude, and strategic attitude fall. Some external factors like geographical location and industrial factors also have effects on green marketing adoption. The last factor in our study is stakeholder’s pressure. it also identify that why companies not adopt green marketing and what are the benefits companies are gaining by implementing green marketing in their organization. Our research is qualitative so we have conducted detail interviews from the three organizations of Faisalabad and after that we are able to find out the reasons that why companies hesitate to adopt green marketing. Major reason of adoption of green marketing that the study has explored is the pressure of big stores and big brands on the subcontractors that they have to provide them the green products. The reason of non-adoption of green marketing is unawareness among people about green marketing and Government also not taking any kind of steps to motivate or to force the organization toward adoption of green marketing in Pakistan.

The main objective of conducting study in is to know about the sector which is mostly influenced by the leadership that reinforce learning in the behavior of the organizations and to compare to know in which sector leadership play a key role to transform its behavior and culture into an learning structure and to determine the extent to which both sectors are involve in learning. For this purpose convenient sampling use and get data from eighty respondents and by putting that data in the Microsoft excel we get mean that shows the different level of learning in both sectors in terms of percentage. Results, shows that textile sectors are more conscious about learning rather than banking sectors. But according to David Garvin both sectors lies in the lower quartile which mean that both sectors having lack of energetic and efficient leadership role in these organizations.

Knowledge is an important factor in current global environment and business competitiveness. It is also considered to be the highly valuable asset for an organization in future. Moreover, knowledge is a kind of intangible and it is difficult to measure and transfer. Therefore, management of knowledge becomes an important issue, and knowledge becomes a key factor for success of a firm. Consequently, evaluating the performance of Knowledge Management is becoming increasingly significant, as it fosters strategic organizational learning and provides the solutions to become competitive and introduces the capabilities required to meet customer needs. Most of the respondents agreed on the importance of knowledge management. Different people from various departments gave their input and helped in understanding the current flaws of the system in education, and also provided some valuable suggestions regarding use of knowledge management for improvement of system and standard of education.

Objective of the study is to deal with two things first, measure that up to what extent the education sector of Pakistan is considering themselves as learning organization and secondly to measure role of learning facilitators in building the learning organizations. Education sector is well regulated sector providing a wide range of services, education sector consist of two types, one is private sector, and the second is public sector. To measure the learning facilitators and learning organization discipline a questionnaire on five point lickert scale was develop, Results shows that employee of both type of universities are agree with the question statement. But in public sector particularly and in private as well there is no concept of leadership; employees are not considering that there is a leader because in local area people has not set their mind yet toward the leadership. Study is contributing in a discipline named “building the learning organization” but this study has some limitations: First this study was conducted to a particular sector, Second it is conducted in a particular location.
